It runs very well. The number one 'pro' for any graphics card that matters is "it runs well." And in the case of the Nvidia GEFORCE GTX 1080 Ti - FE Founder's Edition, it gets that 'pro' with flying colors. Nvidia seems to know their stuff pretty well, as they prove with this graphics card. I never really had much of a problem running any game, which is more than I can say about some of the other competing graphics cards with respect to either quality or price. As long as you can find it for a decent price, it is one of the better graphics cards that you can buy right now.
Price. When discussing graphics cards, I try to get really in depth on the pros and cons of the actual graphics card in question. One major issue however is the price of the Nvidia GEFORCE GTX 1080 Ti - FE Founder's Edition graphics card. On Amazon.com, you should expect to pay upward of approximately $1100.00. And while the power is definitely not something you should shake a stick at, I do not think I can recommend buying for that price. The thing of that is, there are other places that you can buy this graphics card. In theory, anyway. Unfortunately, you might have a bit of trouble finding the Nvidia GEFORCE GTX 1080 Ti - FE Founder's Edition elsewhere for a cheaper price. Checking the official Nvidia website, it lists the graphics card at the MSRP of $699.00. However, the product is sold out on their website. There is a bright side in this situation, however. If you are lucky, you may be able to find this graphics card on eBay for not too much more expensive than the MSRP. For example, I found an auction for this graphics card brand new at $764.00. Free shipping to boot! This is, at least in comparison to the price on Amazon.com, a steal.
While there are better graphics cards than this, so long as you can get it at or near the MSRP, the Nvidia GEFORCE GTX 1080 Ti - FE Founder's Edition graphics card is a must-own.
Just about any video game that you can buy on the computer can be played pretty well using this graphics card.
The graphics card is not going to prove difficult to install, and it is not too big either, so you won't have to worry about space in your computer. It is not a particularly small graphics card either though, so just make sure that you have the space for it.
For my money, I would strongly recommend that you do NOT buy it at the $1100 that Amazon.com retailers are asking for it. It may be an excellent graphics card, but it is not $1100 excellent!
If you can find it for around $700-800 however, I permit you to "go nuts" with it.
You will not be disappointed with how this baby makes your games look or how well it makes them run. You will have to manage to get this installed into your computer on your own if you don't go with the Amazon.com option, but it is not too hard to learn how to do it.
So go nuts! Just make sure to remember to only buy a graphics card that is this expensive if you can actually afford to do so.
Nvidia GEFORCE GTX 1080 Ti FE Founders Edition Graphics Card
I am the kind of person who likes to get the best graphics card that I possibly can. I built my own gaming computer, and I try to keep every component up to date. One of the most essential computer parts I look for however is my gaming computer’s graphics card.
After all, I want to make sure that I am able to get the best visual fidelity and performance out of my gaming computer whenever I am gaming.
Recently, I gave the Nvidia GEFORCE GTX 1080 Ti – FE Founder’s Edition graphics card a fair shake. It was a fairly large investment, but I like the Nvidia brand well enough to take the plunge.
So with all that said, how does this graphics card shape up on its own and when compared to the competition?
How It Compares
I have tried a wide variety of graphics cards from a wide variety of graphics card manufacturers. And in my experience, Nvidia is one of the most consistently impressive of these manufacturers. They are not 100% all the time, but if I had to gamble on who would make the best graphics card, I would always put my money on Nvidia. The Nvidia GEFORCE GTX 1080 Ti – FE Founder’s Edition comes with 11 Gbps GDDR5X memory, along with a more than impressive 11GB RAM. When I first got this graphics card installed into my computer, I of course made sure to test out a lot of my favorite games on it.
The first game I tried out was actually a game I had just recently purchased, NieR Automata. Published by Square Enix and developed by Platinum Games, this game looks absolutely stunning on my gaming monitor and runs super darn well.
I don’t even have to lower the settings much to make it run optimally!
Of course, I had to make sure that I checked out more than just that kind of stuff. Perhaps more important than a game like NieR Automata is to check out the games that everyone likes to play. You know, Call of Duty: World War II, Dota 2, League of Legends, Sid Meier’s Civilization VI (okay, maybe that one is just me), etc. And in every game that I tested, the games ran as smooth as butter spreads.
Games like League of Legends and Dota 2 are games that I put a ton of value in making sure run at a perfect and consistent speed. After all, any fan of either game knows that the last thing you want to have happen is that your computer hitches or even slows down to a crawl at a crucial moment that loses you the advantage in the match.
This is not, however, a graphics card for those of you who need something to catch up on some of the classic games, such as Half-Life 2, Braid, or Starcraft.
For any of those who are looking to play these games, you would probably be a lot better off if you went for a graphics card that is a couple hundred dollars cheaper than this one.
